Christmas in July 2016

We had our traditional Christmas in July on the 24th at the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba which was organised this time by Julie Emanuel. She put a lot of effort in securing the venue at this iconic venue in the Blue Mountains which included a three course meal and a pianist to uplift the ambience for the occasion.

The attendance levels were excellent with nearly 30 people turning up and making this pleasant trip to the Mountains which as it turned out we had the perfect winter conditions with clear and crispy blue skies and a rather chilly and very cold temperature around. Everyone was wearing heavy coats and plenty of cover to cope. But once inside we had a pleasant atmosphere and everyone enjoyed the occasion.

There were a few noticeable past and new cars in particular Lloyd Manning 9-3 Aero Convertible that has been now re-touched and brought up to concourse level.

This was a very successful outing which Julie managed with exceptional care and dedication. We thank her very much for her efforts and we hope that there will be a repeat for next year.
