December 3rd 2017 was the date we celebrated Christmas for our Saab car club and what a beautiful day it was at Lane Cove National Park. We chose the same area 32 as last year as it was very suitable for our size group – a good sized shed and plenty of grass for games. There was a great turn up of Saab enthusiasts and this year the club supplied all food free of charge apart from deserts and treats which our members willingly provided – cheers to the wives and partners.
John and Kerrie Wallace were the first to turn up as Kerrie had offered to deck the halls with boughs of holly and lots of other beautiful decorations. Thanks guys, the old shed looked a treat. Ravin and Nikki were the next arrive to help set up and Nikki provided some fantastic Greek treats! Thanks to Chris and Claire for providing and manning the saab-a-que once again. The sausages were tasty. Steve and Julie organised the chicken and buns while Lesley and Craig looked after salads. Jeannine and Shani also provided scrumptious salads.
All up over 40 of our members and families enjoyed a fantastic day in the park enjoying good food, great company and the odd drink or 3 celebrating Christmas and reminiscing about good times we shared in 2017 belonging to a terrific club – the NSW Saab Car Club.
We look forward to 2018 as another chance to drive somewhere, stop somewhere, eat something and drink something in our pursuit of enjoying our Saabs!
