Twilight run

So, Christmas has been. Happy New year to all. We are well in to the New Year and our first event has been run. We had a fantastic Idea of a twilight run. Wisemans Ferry Park was chosen as the destination for a BBQ dinner but during the week before there were bush fires and a total fire ban so we decided to provide BBQ chicken ,rolls & salad instead. We had 27 members book for our run and although it was 36 degrees when Niki, Rav, Lesley & myself arrived at the park we found a glorious spot near the river under the trees spirits were high and a beer or a wine helped as we set up and waited for the convoy to arrive. It was great to catch up with you all after the Christmas , exchanging stories of family Christmases. The chicken etc was well received. I think if it wasn’t for the mosquitoes, some of them the size of small helicopters, some of the members would still be there. The old faithful Aerogard ( could be the Aero bit ) seemed to save some people. We finished up around 8.15pm then enjoyed a very pleasant drive back home. I would like to thank Niki & Rav for their assistance on the day. I look forward to seeing you all in February as we have 2 events that month, a Tech day on the 10th & our much talked about return to the Blacktown Drive-inn night on the 24th .
Happy Saabing
